Living Nightmare
This artwork captures the chaotic, tangled nature of inner darkness. The swirling black lines form ghostlike figures—representations of intrusive thoughts, heavy emotions, or the invisible weight of depression and anxiety. They don’t have clear shapes or boundaries, because mental struggles often feel the same—blurry, overwhelming, and hard to define.
Art becomes a safe space to bring these shadows to the surface. By giving them form on paper, we take them out of our minds and place them somewhere we can see, understand, and begin to release. What may feel too heavy to say out loud finds its voice through strokes, lines, and shapes.
This piece reminds us that healing doesn’t always look like light and color. Sometimes it starts in the dark—naming the pain, acknowledging the chaos, and expressing the weight we carry. And from there, slowly, we create space for healing, clarity, and peace.
Art doesn’t erase the shadows—it helps us face them, understand them, and transform them.
